GCSE Courses
Collingham GCSE Department
Most students study six or more GCSE subjects, including English, Maths, one modern foreign language and at least one science subject. We also encourage students to take at least one non-academic subject (these include Art, Drama, Graphic Design or Photography). Two-year and one-year courses are available. The course takes the student through the GCSE syllabus and is combined with regular exam practice. The small class size (five is the average) enables the tutors to monitor the progress of each individual carefully, dealing quickly with any academic problems. Extra tuition on a one-to-one basis is also available. There is an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities which includes sport and regular visits to the theatre, cinema and museums. Once the GCSE exams have been taken, most students continue with their AS and A levels at Collingham.
