Principal
Gerald Hattee MA DipEd was an Open Scholar at Keble College, Oxford, where he read History. He was a Housemaster at The King’s School, Canterbury, before joining Collingham in 1989. He was formerly Chairman of the Conference for Independent Further Education and has served as a City Councillor and School Governor.
Deputy Principal and Director of Studies
Susan Oussedik MA Lic. ès Lettres PGCE read Modern Languages at the universities of St Andrews and Grenoble. She taught in France, Sweden and Algeria before joining Collingham in 1987.
Vice Principals
John Thomson MA (Head of Science) read Physiology and Psychology at Exeter College, Oxford.
John Nolan MA DPhil (Head of Philosophy) was an Open Scholar at Christ’s College, Cambridge before taking his Doctorate in Philosophy at York.
Ann Freeman MA Westminster (Head of Economics, Business Studies & Accounting) worked as a short gilts dealer for a major international merchant bank before joining Collingham in 2000.

James Allder BA read Geography at King’s College, London and the London School of Economics, after which he passed with commendation the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law.

The other joint founder was the late Dr. John Marsden. Educated at the Sorbonne and Bonn university, he was a former House Master at Eton College. For his service in the Second World War, he was mentioned in despatches and awarded the French Croix de Guerre and the American Bronze Star.
