GCSE Trip to Iceland - 2011

Students in the GCSE Department thoroughly enjoyed visiting Iceland in March. They flew to Reykjavik where they were based.  The students enjoyed a number of great excursions, including one to see the Northern Lights and a visit to the Blue Lagoon.

Skiers had two days skiing at the local resort of Bláfjöll.  Non-skiers visited the geysers and went whale-watching.

The high latitudes and long dark winter nights gave the Collingham students a chance to try their hand at night skiing.
