MINI Factory Trip

Just before Christmas several students visited the Mini Factory in Oxford. Here is what one student had to say about the trip;

'At the Mini plant the first room we visited, called “Body in White” Room was the size of 14 football pitches with very similar cages to the Dagenham car plant we had visited earlier in 2019, which encompassed the most amazing variety of robots. Some of the robots were self-repairing and some capable of repairing other robots. It was clean, almost silent, and you felt you were watching an intricate automatous ballet. The “Finishing” Room was the second part of the tour. A production line where an almost bespoke Mini, is made every 67 seconds. The tour was thorough and informative, but far more than that, really awe-inspiring."
