This year’s Great Collingham Bake Off took place on the 29th of March in aid of Macmillan. The study room filled with spectacular cakes, colourful bunting and hungry students and staff. There was an array of cakes in the competition from Veronique’s Pear and Ginger bake to Lucella’s Torta Caprese. The tough job of Head Judge fell into Paul’s hands and after much deliberation he gave the winning title of ‘Star Baker’ to Sara who’s ‘Kinder Fest’ grabbed everyone's attention. Standing 4 cakes tall, covered in butter icing, dark chocolate and Kinder Bueno bars Sara spent 6 hours creating this masterpiece and not a crumb was left over! This fun filled lunch time raised £60 for Collingham’s chosen charity.
