Paris Trip 2019

The annual day trip to Paris took place this year on Thursday October 3^rd 2019. This was an opportunity for French and Art students to experience Parisian Culture and highlights included the Luxembourg Gardens, Place St. Sulplice, Palais Royal and the Grands Boulevards.

After several hours walking through Paris streets that haven’t changed in over a century, one student described how ‘you start to feel like this is a labyrinth you can never escape.’ The Louvre was the standout hit for many, with a focus on ancient sculptures: the Venus de Milo, the Nike of Samothrace and Michelangelo’s slaves. Students where oblivious to any dramas going on in the capital (there had been an incident in the prefecture de police) and once again the whole day proved to be a great success.
